Snowbunny Headband

I came down with some sort of sickness this week (diagnosed ever so helpfully as “pre-flu-like” by my doctor), and was confined, relatively immobile, to the couch. I was sick of working on the scarf I am in the middle of, and have a ski trip coming up at the end of this week, so I decided to knit up this headband. I think it turned out so cute! I’m biased though – put a bow on it, and I’ll go for pretty much anything.

It is made with a wool/baby alpaca/angora blend in a soft chartreuse. It is 25 stitches across, with 3 knit stitches on each side to create the border, and an alternating knit/purl every other row for the middle. The bow follows a similar pattern and was added on after the headband was completed. It knit up pretty quickly (the silly bow was actually the most time consuming part) so it was a great way to feel productive while quarantined!

Cute! What gauge needles did you use?

Thanks, Brittany! For this headband I used size 5 needles and for the cream colored one, size 6.
